The New Race Format for 2019
This season, WSBK has introduced a new race format to keep you on the edge of your seat. Along with the traditional two races held on Saturday and Sunday, a third race, called the Superpole Race, takes place on Sunday morning before the second full-distance race. The starting grid for Race 1 and the Superpole Race is determined by a single 25-minute Superpole timed session, while the grid for Race 2 is based on the top 9 riders from the Superpole Race and the remaining riders sorted by their qualifying times.
Exciting Changes to the Calendar
The 2019 calendar is packed with thrilling races that will keep you entertained throughout the season. The Czech round at Brno has been replaced by a round at Jerez, held in June. Additionally, the round at Donington Park has been moved to July, with the Misano round shifting to June to accommodate this change. And there’s more! The thirteenth round, initially dropped for 2019, has been confirmed at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca. Get ready for an action-packed season filled with twists and turns.
