The Excitement Begins
This season is set to be the forty-seventh edition of the World Rally Championship, the ultimate international rallying competition recognized by the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA). The championship features teams and crews competing in fourteen events to claim victory in the World Rally Championships for Drivers, Co-drivers, and Manufacturers.
Reaching New Heights
In this edition, teams are free to compete with cars that comply with the World Rally Car and Group R regulations. However, only manufacturers with World Rally Cars homologated under the 2017 regulations are eligible to score points in the Manufacturers’ championship. Additionally, the World Rally Championship-2 category will be present at every round, along with the Junior World Rally Championship at selected events. Unfortunately, the World Rally Championship-3 has been discontinued for this season.
Defending Champions
Last year’s standout drivers, Sébastien Ogier and Julien Ingrassia, will be defending their titles after their spectacular sixth victory at the 2018 Rally Australia. Meanwhile, Toyota Gazoo Racing WRT will be looking to maintain their stronghold as the defending manufacturers’ champions.
Rally of Turkey Schedule
Mark your calendars for the Rally of Turkey, which will take place from September 12th to September 15th. Although details about the specific stages and distances are yet to be announced, we can guarantee an extraordinary display of driving skills and intense competition.
