Team Changes
This season, we see some exciting team changes that are bound to shake up the competition. Aprilia returns to the series with their full factory team effort, marking their first independent venture since 2004. Meanwhile, VR46 Racing Team takes over the grid slots from Esponsorama Racing, presenting a new challenge with their Ducati machinery. Gresini Racing also makes a comeback as a fully-independent team, powered by Ducati. And that’s not all! Petronas SRT has rebranded as RNF MotoGP Racing, continuing to use Yamaha bikes for the 2022 season.
Rider Changes
Get ready to witness the rising stars of the sport! Remy Gardner and Raúl Fernández, who dominated the Moto2 championship in 2021, have entered the MotoGP class with Tech3 KTM. Enea Bastianini has joined Gresini Racing from Esponsorama Racing, while Fabio Di Giannantonio has also entered the MotoGP class with Gresini Racing. The seasoned veteran, Maverick Viñales, has joined Aprilia Racing mid-season in 2021, after being released from Yamaha. Valentino Rossi bids farewell to the sport after the 2021 season, leaving behind a remarkable legacy. Exciting times lie ahead!
